We were all raised to say no ma'am and yes sir and thank you and all of that (and my sisters are teaching their kids the same). I love the politeness of most Houstonians.

He was definitely older than me so I think that's why it was weird :)Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16248432200251927535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6592134023737868517.post-10377532122428030762011-08-01T11:33:22.557-05:002011-08-01T11:33:22.557-05:00You live in Houston and people don't call you ...You live in Houston and people don't call you ma'am on a regular basis? I grew up in Mississippi and everyone over 20 was called "ma'am" or "sir" as a sign of respect. I guess I just assumed all of the south did the same.

I live in the midwest now, and these yankees get their panties all in a bunch when I call them "ma'am." But still, I have never said it because I think someone is my senior, only to be polite and extend courtesy. Maybe the cop was from Mississippi? :)The Missushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06794025896716995475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6592134023737868517.post-80436030484172762322011-07-25T12:04:36.922-05:002011-07-25T12:04:36.922-05:00I think it means he's a jackhole.I think it means he's a jackhole.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16248432200251927535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6592134023737868517.post-53649499588670271562011-07-22T11:24:29.486-05:002011-07-22T11:24:29.486-05:00I got carded in CS and the guy at the door apologi...I got carded in CS and the guy at the door apologized.
